All That Glitters Ain't Gold!

I have to admit, I was comfortable in my corner servicing my retainer and existing clients without advertising my business. But 2017 has been one of those years that has pretty much kicked me out of my comfort zone. I’d be lying if I said I didn't need your business, no seriously, I really do. But I don’t want you to do business with me out of pity, I want to show you why you need me on your design team over what Canva and these other design apps and bargain sites can do.

From a business standpoint, branding in the marketplace is similar to branding inside of DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse). An effective branding program is designed to differentiate your shoe from all the other shoes down the isles, even if all the shoes own that section seem to look very much alike. If you look on social media nowadays everything looks alike. All you see is glitter and gold, which happens to be two of my favorite things but it would be nice to see something different up and down the timeline every once in a while.

A successful branding program is based on singularity. It creates a consumer perception that there is no product or service on the market quite like yours. A lot of it also has to do with visibility, because if your customers don’t know you exist than how can they utilize you?

When you are a start up your business most people associate your brand directly with what they think of you. The goal is to get people to associate your brand with feelings, emotions, memories, or imagery that reminds them of the quality they get from your brand.
