The identity
Logo concepts and a visual foundation for the new community.

A founder’s knowledge can become more than a service. It can become a shared identity, a practical resource, and a place where others come to learn, connect, and grow.
For Black FRMs Connect, Designs By Chimere helped translate Latoya Wise’s vision into a cohesive brand experience, from the first logo concepts to a professional planner, a public website, and a private membership platform.

When Toya began Black FRMs Connect in January 2026, the concept was still in its infancy. Her vision was to bring education, mentorship, and meaningful connection to Black Field Reimbursement Managers and professionals exploring the field.
Our relationship began before this community. Through our previous branding and Shopify work for Lipstick by Imani, Toya already knew how we approached a founder’s ideas and translated them into a brand experience.
That existing trust gave us a strong starting point. The challenge was to give an emerging community a recognizable identity while creating room for its resources, services, and digital experience to grow.

A branded professional resource designed for the FRM audience.
A public destination connecting the mission, founder, and services.

We developed the Black FRMs Connect logo as the first visible expression of the founder’s vision. The black-and-gold identity provided a consistent foundation for the brand’s growing presence.
As the community expanded, the identity extended beyond the screen. Conference merchandise shows how the logo carries across member badges, stationery, and everyday items, creating a recognizable connection between the organization and its members.

The conference items pictured demonstrate the brand identity in use across physical touchpoints.

The Elite Field Reimbursement Manager Planner gave the community a physical resource aligned with its professional focus. Designs By Chimere designed the planner to bring the brand into a format members could use beyond an event or online conversation.
The bold cover, clear hierarchy, and coordinated black-and-gold presentation connected the publication to the wider identity. It became another way for Toya’s expertise and the community’s purpose to show up in members’ everyday professional lives.
For founders building around their knowledge, a thoughtfully designed resource can extend the brand experience while giving the audience something tangible to engage with.
The website brought the brand, founder’s story, and professional development services together in one public-facing destination. Our work focused on making that offering clear and giving visitors an accessible path to explore the community.
The experience connects career transition coaching, professional positioning, reimbursement education, mentorship, and learning opportunities. Founder storytelling adds context to the expertise behind the organization, while service details and inquiry pathways help visitors identify their next step.

The next stage of the engagement extends the public brand into a dedicated private membership experience. We designed and developed a dashboard that brings community activity, learning resources, events, and member connections into one branded environment.
The preview shows a member directory and map, a Knowledge Lab, a learning library, an events calendar, and recognition features. The goal is a clear, welcoming experience that helps members find the people, resources, and conversations relevant to them.
The membership platform is being prepared for a November 2026 launch. A future app is planned for 2027; it is not presented here as a launched product.

Black FRMs Connect illustrates how a strategic creative partnership can support a founder as an idea develops into a connected brand experience. The logo, planner, website, and membership interface each serve a different purpose while reinforcing the same identity.
For founders ready to build with authority, the opportunity is to connect what they know with how people experience it. A dedicated digital home can give them greater control over their presentation, content, and member journey, alongside the channels they use to reach new audiences.
This engagement is still evolving. Its story is the foundation being built: a recognizable brand, a practical resource, a clear public presence, and a member experience designed for the community’s next chapter.
